Christmas Carols 2011: A service featuring combined choirs of St Christopher's Cathedral and St Paul's Anglican Church, brass and organ.
Advent and Christmas readings, carols and prayer.
Saturday 17 December, 5.00 pm, at All Saints', Ainslie
Nine Lessons and Carols sung by All Saints' Youth Choristers, followed by a BBQ.
Saturday 17 December, 7.30pm, at Llewellyn Hall
Canberra Choral Society sings Handel's Messiah, conducted by Brett Weymark
Sunday 18 December, 7.00 pm, at St John's, Reid
Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, with carols sung by St John's Choir, plus Christmas hymns for congregational singing
Wednesday 21st December 2011, 7.30pm, at St Philip's, O'Connor
The St Philip's Singers, with CAMRA Inc, sing for The St Philip's service of Nine Lessons and Carols
Composition Competition 2011
The ACT Branch held its Fifth Annual Composition Competition this year.
This time there were two sections: a choral or a keyboard composition.
The choral winner was Paul Witney of NSW. Les Davey of the ACT won the keyboard section.

About the RSCM...
| the RSCM was initially founded as the School of English Church Music in the 1920s, with the aim of fostering excellence in church music. It is now affiliated with schools and churches throughout the UK and the rest of the world, and is interdenominational.
| The RSCM is active around Australia and offers membership to choirs and individuals. The annual national summer schools are highly recommended for anyone involved with church music.
| Individuals have the opportunity to gain internationally recognised qualifications in church music through the RSCM's Voice For Life programme.
